Development of the regions of presence in Kazakhstan
Over the past five years (from 2010 through 2017), all companies of the Eurasian Resources Group in Kazakhstan spent a total of 194 billion tenge on measures to provide employees with social security and social support, as well as on sponsorship and charity work. Expenditure on sponsorship and charity work alone amounted to 120 billion tenge.
One of our achievements in the development of our operating regions consists in memoranda of cooperation signed with Akimats of the Aktobe, Karaganda, Kostanay and Pavlodar Regions, which are the Company’s regions of operational presence. In 2017, the Eurasian Group signed memoranda worth a total of 7 billion tenge.
Memorandums were concluded in 2018 for the amount of more than 8.6 billion tenge, and 9 billion tenge in 2019. In 2020 it is planned to invest more than 10 billion tenge for development of native regions where ERG operates.
Since the start of its operations in Kazakhstan, the company annually takes part in implementation of the most significant social and economic projects in the four regions of the country where its enterprises are located.
As part of its social policy, the Group is implementing the "ERG mektepke" Initiative in Aktobe, Kostanai and Pavlodar regions. The project is aimed at creating a new educational environment in 175 schools of these regions for realization of personal potential of each student and includes professional development of teachers, heads of educational organizations, popularization of engineering education and digital technologies in training. The retraining program for school leaders is focused on the formation of managerial knowledge and competencies. The training includes interactive presentations, group work, tutoring, case demonstrations of participants and guest lectures from the heads of recognized leading schools of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.
