Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) has donated to support the recovery efforts in the Republic of Mozambique and the Republic of Zimbabwe after the devastation of Cyclone Idai. The Group provided substantial cash donations to both the Mozambique Red Cross (CVM) and the National Disaster Fund in Zimbabwe.

Benedikt Sobotka, Chief Executive Officer of ERG, said: “On behalf of the Group I would like to extend our deepest condolences to all the people affected by Cyclone Idai. We hope that ERG’s donation will help support the provision of supplies to deal with this tragedy and to put the communities affected on the road to recovery.”

ERG is an important investor in Mozambique’s Chitima Power Project and has a long history in the Zimbabwean resources sector.
